Review summary
Went on the breakaway for the kids February school break. Left out of manhatten, great port, easy parking, fast drop off, expensive parking but worth it. Great ship for the kids, better lay out at the buffet then other ships, pretty much the same buffet food every day. Kids club and councilors were great.
Now the bad, the showers in the cabins are horrible, barely a trickle, most things fun for adults costs extra. Up selling is everywhere. The casino is the worst lay out I have ever experienced. Three sections split down the middle with a corridors that everybody walks through. Ending in a circular opening that you have to walk around to go forward. Everyone stops to gawk and talk and clog the casino area. Families and kids are constantly running through the casino bothering parents and players. also, highly disappointed in Norwegian for ruining what was a decent poker tournimant by finding a way to steel $1,100 from the winner by insisting they give up $1,100 off the top prize for a bogus voucher for a buy in at a tournament on another ship at another time that you have to purchase another cruise to use. They should be ashamed of themselves. Worst rip off in poker history.
