Review summary
We had a great time on the Breakaway, and it was just what to doctor ordered (a break from this miserable winter!) We were concerned about being on such a large ship, but it was a non-issue. Service, food and entertainment were excellent., Ports were okay, certainly not among our favorites, but this was about getting away, not the destinations.
However, and it's a big however, the air pollution from the casino was literally intolerable. My husband has emphysema, and we had to route ourselves to avoid the casino area, and as the area is three decks high, we avoided the areas above and below as much as possible. We were not alone in our complaint regarding this area. We understand that a great deal of the ships revenue is generated in the casino, but it's a sad world that pits profit against health concerns.

Ship tip
If you're looking for sun, and not traveling with children, the decks above the pool deck are some of the nicest and quietest! Without a doubt, the best show onboard was Slam Allen in Fat Cats!
