Norwegian Breakaway Cruise Reviews - Q&A

Can someone please explain what type of test we need a few days before our cruise out of NOLA near the end of March if we are already fully vaccinated and have our card for proof? I know they are no longer requiring the one at the port prior to boarding. Thanks in advance!

The email I got said Antigen or PCR and gives a time frame for you to have it. Since you cruise toward the end of March you’ll likely get it in a week r two. Being a nurse that triages covid all day every day I have some advice to share. A antigen test is always recommended if you have recently had covid as a pcr can show positive longer and can show positive months later depending on how your body clears covid. Most home tests are antigen not all but most. If you have had covid recently test yourself at home before confirmation testing with a third party! And enjoy your cruise 🚢

Check your email. I leave out of New Orleans and my email said I needed a rapid antigen test or a PCR test done 3 days before my sail date.
