Review summary

I chose this trip specifically for the days at sea to do a little work and a lot of relaxing. The plan would have worked better if I'd known that their Wi-Fi does NOT cover calling or texting, which I needed to log into my computer! Beyond that, nice trip. The shows were the high point.

Embarkation

The Coast Guard inspection delayed us for almost 2 hours. I don't blame Norwegian for this, but they should have explained the problem much sooner

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good, but we should have booked times on the first day. By the third day just about every time was gone, leaving us only buffet for our main meals, or eating at 9:30.

Cabin / Stateroom

The closet location is not good. I was traveling with my girlfriend, so we had them split the bed. This made the closet almost inaccessible.

Ship tip

Norwegian's Internet does NOT support Wi-Fi call or texting! And book entertainment and restaurants on day one!

Yep this was such a great itinerary to relax!! 3 days at sea, and that last overnight in Vancouver are pretty unique. What apps were you trying to use to call/text? If it was WiFi calling, or iMessage, or Instagram/Facebook messenger, it should have worked. I used my Google Voice number for a few WiFi calls during the week and that worked fine.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry you misunderstood what the Wi-Fi covered while at sea. Glad you still enjoyed your cruise with your girlfriend.

Seperating the bed, with your own girlfriend??!! Why?? If you kept the king, you would have had space to get to the closest. Or the other sleep on the sofa?

I don't UNDERSTAND people WORKING on a cruise!! You are PAYING to work??!! Why!!??

Why would you expect the wifi to support calling or texting? Those require cellular service. The WiFi does support app based messaging such as iMessage. It also supports internet based calls using programs such as Google Meet.
