Review summary

Amazing Blissful experience with family and friends! Would book Bliss or Escape again any day. This was our 6th cruise & we have tried RCCL, Carnival & NCL. Loved them all! But we’ve now done this itinerary 2 years in a row from Manhattan b/c we live in CT and have only 1.5 hr ride in. No ✈️ & super convenient. Can’t say enough good about these cruises. Embarkation was super quick. Arrived at terminal at 9:30 and boarded ship by 11am. Debarkation just as quick. Left our cabin at 8:30 and cleared through customs with their new facial recognition tablets in no time. Our driver had us on our way to CT at 9:15! Wish we’d have done more days in Bahamas and skipped PC. This can feel like a waste of a port but we use as a great day to enjoy the ship’s pools, slides, hot tubs, race track, laser tag etc. Both NCL Escape & NCL Bliss ships are very clean, fun, friendly & worth the experience that cruising has to offer. Highly recommend for families, friends, & couples. We already put deposit down on our next NCL cruise! We ❤️🏝🚢🐠. 💡- If you’re not having fun on a cruise, it’s probably time to reflect upon yourself & less judging towards others. 💋

Ports of call

New York, New York

What can I say? We ❤️ NYC. Born & raised CT country but we love us some big city. Usually spend 5-10 days in NYC per year so we’ve done nearly every tourist thing. We still try to catch new Broadway shows though. Best hotel is Park Central on 7th Ave. beautiful rooms, great views of Times Square, and only a 5-8 min 🚕 ride to Pier 88 for NCL ships. We stay there every city trip and walk everywhere. It’s centrally located between Central Park & Times Square. We drive in from CT for weekends, holidays, Little Italy Saturday-Summer nights & vacays all the time. Park Central Hotel is around corner (literally) from a Parking garage, so it’s super convenient. We ❤️how NCL 🚢 overlooks the Intrepid and passing by Statue of Liberty 🗽 is always fun.

Port Canaveral, Florida

Totally wasted port. Feb 2019 on Escape & Feb 2020 on Bliss, we never left the ships. We make it a positive port day by enjoying all that the ships have to offer in activities and poolside fun. Water slides are always a big hit too! Race track & laser tag are great as well. Feel strongly that after 2 years in a row here, they either need to make this Port of fun place to visit OR skip & head straight to Bahamas. For us Orlando is just too far to travel to/from PC to spend only a few hours there. Rather spend quality time in Orlando parks for the expense than just racing to get there & back to ship in one short day. Some do this & love it but we prefer to have more time in Universal/Disney, for the cost. We would ❤️ multiple days in Nassau 🏝instead. Atlantis has SO much to do and see along with all the other beautiful options on Paradise Island 🌴 & in Nassau.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

Best snorkeling at a gorgeous beach. Saw amazing 🐠 🐟 & had a wonderful day. Get tender tickets early so you arrive there early. Use shore excursion credit for clamshell rentals on beach. Abaco Taco is yummy. But ALL buffets we’re great. Good burger bar too. Be sure to walk and see ALL varieties of food that are all included in your cruise fare & check out all the different bars. There are plenty of food options but most people don’t realize this. Bring own snorkel gear. No germs that way😉 Be sure to pack your water shoes. (Water can be rocky) This island 🏝 would be PERFECT if NCL built a pier. Only downfall of entire day was the long tender lines to & from 🚢. Other than that it’s fantastic. Have patience and book tender ticket 🎫 early. Book dinner that night later since you’ll want to get as much time in as possible on this island.

Truly LOVE LOVE LOVE Atlantis. We came 2019 & 2020. Can’t get enough of this wonder of the world. For those who think Nassau is not a good port, I say you don’t have a clue what you’re missing! So much family fun and some of the best pools, water slides, aquariums, marine life & beaches ever! The prettiest resort in Caribbean 🏝

Dining Tips: “Q” BBQ was amazing La Cucina was fantastic Buffet great Taste, Savor, & Manhattan Rooms we’re all wonderful. Los Lobos food wasn’t my fav but mostly bc it’s just super spicy & not my thing, but if you like Mexican food you’ll probably enjoy it.
