Review summary

Beautiful new ship! They are still working out some kinks.....but that is to be expected on an inaugural cruise. The casino is huge and the smoking area was very nice. But smoking areas on the rest of the ship need to be increased. I don't smoke, but the smokers were very unhappy. It was a transatlantic cruise and only one area on outside deck was available to smoke. I was part of a large group with a number of smokers.....and they need better areas to smoke. But it was an amazing trip!

It was a beautiful ship and the observation deck is expansive and wonderful. Spent a lot of time there just watching the ocean.

Super helpful review! Thanks so much for posting the information about smoking on the Bliss. I am rethinking my booking as a result ;-) And please disregard the judgy comments about choices.

NCL should be marking designated smoking areas on their deck plans for the benefit of smokers and non-smokers. They also need to provide at least one covered outdoor area for smokers with chairs not bar stools/high tops if they have not decided to go completely non smoking. Either reasonably accommodate customers or narrow the customer base but don’t take peoples money then make it impossible for them to enjoy their vacation.

I am a smoker, a courteous smoker, and I have searched the internet to try to figure out where I can smoke while on the Bliss. I see smoking is permitted in a designated area of the casino and the cigar lounge but are there any outdoor areas? None of the deck plans show any areas. Thanks

Frequent79 -- sounds good to me. Have a special smoker's fare that is higher than the non-smokers and give them private space that no one else will want to use because of the stench.

With all due respect, A lot of stuff kills not just smoking. We all pay the same amount for a cruise. Therefore, they should also accommodate the smokers more. If they cant do that, then they should give a smokers price and a non smokers price. Alcohol also kills people and I dont look down on all the drunks I see on the cruise. One passenger was so drunk, he tried to jump ship! Others falling, dropping drinks and being completely obnoxious while the smokers were in the designated area minding their own business. I have also lost family to cancer and more to alcohol. Again, it is a choice. Everyone is on the cruise to have a good time. If they want to smoke and drink, they have every right too.

You should encourage your group of traveling smokers to quit smoking instead of complaining to the CRUISELINE to increase areas!!! My mother died of STAGE 4 LUNG CANCER due to smoking for 25 years, now I am without a mother and my children are without a grandmother and my 90 year old grandmother is without a daughter. My family and I are avid cruisers, we cruise twice a year, we will be on this ship in Nov 2018, we are looking forward to the fact that there are not a lot of places for smokers to Polute the air and our Lungs, praying for the day they BAN SMOKING ALL TOGETHER!! Why should we suffer second hand smoke, we want to Live!!!!!!! #SMOKING KILLS!!!
