It's clear that being purchased by Carnival has not enhanced the cruise experience offered by HAL.

The entertainment was plentiful. The food was fabulous. The personnel on board were friendly, from the maintenance help up to the captain. The ship was spotless.

Ms Noordam is a beautiful shiip and has alot to offer. We would love to travel with her again. The islands(Grand turk, & Half moon Cay) which are owned by the cruise companys are very artificial, over priced, and sadly not what we expected. Overall Ms Noordam was everything we expected and more.

Noordam has a great captain and crew. all work very hard to give you a good cruise experiance. Much better than our cruise o the Westerdam in December.

Ship was very beautiful, but an unfriendly main desk and begruntled crew detracted from its beauty.

This was one of the best vacations we've ever had. Cruising is definately for us! We loved the ship, the itinerary, the staff, the people...and the food was exceptional!

We have been on the Holland America Line before on the Old Rotterdam and the Noordam. We remember them fondly. This cruise did not live up to our memories. It was very pleasant. However the food was sometimes excellent and at others tasteless. The entertainment was uneven. Some very good and others just okay. We asked for a table for 2 each evening and either had to wait or were seated with other people at a table for 4. No one mentioned wether we should or could make reservation. We had "Open Seating".

This was truly one of the best cruises my husband and I have been on...The only issue we notice was during dinner when the waiters would serve the caucasion guests before serving us, as african americans. This was evident each time we had dinner. Outside of that, we truly enjoyed the rest of the cruise and would not let that incident deter us from returning.....I personally was impressed with a bathtub in the room....Never saw that before...Looking forward to another journey.

Great ship and younger crowd than on i.e. the Maasdam. Nice ports of call. Liked it so much that we have already booked our next cruise on the same ship.

This ship was sparkling clean. The crew was terrific. The elevators were always available and fast.

The Noordam holds 1918 passengers and it was full on this trip. Everything was as usual on a HAL cruise. It was our first time to try open dining. I'm not sure I would recommend it though. It took a really long time to get through the process. I think the open dining area was understaffed. It always took over 2 hours. It helps to make a reservation for a certain time and the earlier you eat the faster it goes. The room was great, clean and well attended by TGepi our steward. The Lido Buffet was not as good as I would have hoped. I pretty much ended up with the pasta and pizza almost every meal. The desserts were unimaginative and blah, but the ice cream was the better choice. Our shore excursions were great as expected. All in all, it was a great time and even with a few bumps in the road (oh, by the way, the photo department had NO idea what they were doing), we still would recommend it.

This was a great trip, staff went out of there way to make you feel at home, the food was outstanding! Would have stayed on board if we could have..that's how much fun we were having.
