Review summary

This cruise was a disappointment. We thoroughly researched it in advance and the information we received was inaccurate. There are hidden taxes and mandatory tips regardless of any packages you purchase. We loved the staff and the scenery en route but some of our ports were unavailable due to the weather. I became extremely ill for 5 days of our trip. The medical staff were beyond kind. This was our last trip with this company.

If you want a place on the pool deck you need to be there by 3am. Every possible chair is reserved very early.

We were promised a room near the middle of the ship on the 3rd or 4th floor. Instead we were assigned the 11th floor front of the boat. I was sick to my stomach from the 3rd day until the end of the trip...and I usually don't get seasick. We were unable to change rooms.

Ship tip

Get everything in writing. All the details promised by the person on the telephone are meaningless. If they say it's in your file in the computer have them send you a copy.

It's always a good idea to pick your cabin so you know where it will be. As far as extra taxes or fees, I'm not sure what you are talking about. Most everything on the menu in the main dining is included in your cruise price with the exception of specialty items which are marked as costing extra.
