Review summary

The Land portion made this trip one for a life time. 3 days in Denali, 2 in Skagway and 2 in Dawson gave ample time to explore

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation in Skagway was a breaze. Being part of the land sea cruise, we were in a hotel when they collected our bags. Short walk or shuttle to pier and processed on as if returning from a normal port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Fod was as good as any other cruise i have been on. The only complaint on drinks was the time it took to get service, but most everyone had the drink package so the staff may have been overwhelmed.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pinnacle Grill was fantastic. Great food and Service.

Entertainment

3 out of 5

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Best place on the ship. Great views, bartenders and live music when the played. Also hosted trivia.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room stewards were great. Wait staff equally. Only issue was getting drinks.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
As expected for HAL. Well maintained, easy to get around and learn the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin next to door for deck access. So it was like having a large non private balcony. Access was only available at specific times while cruising or in port so had clear views the rest of the trip.

Ship tip

Check out the crows nest throughout the day.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and convenient to public transportation.

Someone asked how long the train ride was but the so won't let me reply. Vancouver to Seattle was roughly 4 hours and 25 dollars.
