Review summary

We received this cruise as a gift. The port of call was absolutely amazing and we had a blast! The service we received on Holland America was exceptional to say the least but this cruise line unfortunately failed at keeping our attention. The days at sea were very laid back as there wasn't much to do other than lounge by the pool and relax. Entertainment on the ship was essentially non existent! If yourself and other guests accompanying you are active and like various entertainment options this probably is not the ship for you. On the other hand if you enjoy a smaller ship that's laid back with an older demographic you may enjoy it. Overall it was a great vacation but I would choose a different cruise line when booking for ourselves.

I find your statement very helpful beckstar. I'm going on this ship march 19 for first time it's a charter cruise too. But I cruise carnival mostly and I love the lounging and sun but also seek FUN entertainment as well. I hope I find enough to keep myself busy for 8 daysð¤Any cruise is relaxing and fun but I don't like boring.

We people would love to relax; on a free cruise! Could it be the activities were not "non-existent" just activities you didn't care to partake in? That is fair, we all have different tastes. A cruise is a good time to try new things though.

It was a nice cruise just wasn't for us! Jeez relax people, maybe you should read before jumping to conclusions I clearly stated it was a great vacation and I'm not ungrateful!! Just giving other people a heads up that are undecided on a cruise line that this may not be for them if that like many different activities.
