Review summary

great service, great workers, great employees, food was hit or miss, staff was funny, entertainment was the best part, pool was beautiful, sea sickness did not occur, no rude staff, great people around me, never hungry, great smoothies and virgin drinks, delicious cheese omelette, not much to do at stops like catalina and ensanada except for walk around the small area and go into little shops, expensive prices for everything.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
very very very clean and very well maintained. the desserts were kind of low quality, such as water creme brûlée, pie slices that would fall apart, little flavor cakes, hardly sweet (very sour) key lime pie, but AMAZING oat crumble bars with DELICOUS vanilla ice cream, or even their italian chocolate cake was to die for! Some things were just hit or miss. Buffet had great options, international flavors, fresh fruit choices, a variety of foods some being very complex and flavorful and some being simple for dietary needs! delicious bread too ;) nothing was raw or unsettling to my stomach. in the main dining room, my waiters Ma, Elaine, and Nato were FANTASTIC! they were always there when needed, constantly refilled my beverage, were quick with service, and were very kind hearted. they deserve any promotion they could get. my group became very close with them by the end of the trip, professionally of course. Nato always made us laugh, and Ma and Elaine were waitresses like no other! I will never forget the memories made at dinner, I always looked forward to them!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
game shows and 18+ activities were HILAROUS and UNFORGETTABLE. however, the water slides had long lines, i never got the chance to surf or rockclimb, and teens club was awkward. however, the pools, fitness center, self serve ice cream, and entertainment was OUTSTANDING. one dancer that stood out to me was the main blonde in the ballroom dancing, she often has a costume that is different from the others. as a dancer myself, she’s the only one who impressed me. i just wish the show times were a little different or had more show times because i either had to rush my dinner to watch a show, watch it super late at night, or didn’t get to see it at all. most activities overlapped with time.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
my previous message covered this. performers were good, not super impressive but very entertaining. they had good technique. the pianist who played in schooner bar was MEMORABLE. Raniel Thompson i believe was his name, he was funny, talented, fun, energetic, singer, cool, kind, and entertaining. I look forward to the piano bar every night.

Children's Programs

as a teenager, i found no interest in the teens club or kids club, and i have no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
i LOVED the buffet “washie washie” singer. My main dining room waiters Nato, Ma, and Elaine were the best of the best. they were kind hearted, quick with service, always fast, easy to talk to, welcoming, clean, and we’re always happy and enjoyed what they were doing. Pianist Raneil Thompson was absolutely fantasticly friendly and entertaining. The suite lounge desk concierge was very great too. the chefs on the cruise are very hard working and great at what they do. The Activities Director (i think his name was chris) was a one-of-a-kind funny guy, and was a great entertainer, and his humor was top tier.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
great cleanliness, awesome sanitation, everything was constantly cleaned or being clean. lots of hand sanitizer and hand wash stations. i never found any problem with dirtyness, and found everything impressively clean (even the buffet!)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
everything was perfect to expectations. i wish there were drawers rather than csbinents to put clothes in. beautiful balcony and great cleanliness. i was very disappointed that we only got 2 towel animals out of the whole trip. i was looking foward to hopefully having a new one each day but i didnt.

Ship tip

always have water on hand, view and plan daily activities before they happen and schedule it out to ensure you don’t miss anything, enjoy the main dining room dinner, the buffet is the best place for breakfast and lunch (no where else), make the most of your day, be kind to the hard working staff.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

this was where we sailed from

Catalina Island, California

4 out of 5
small, busy, tight, small, crowded, not a large option of shops, but very beautiful and clean and fun and pretty. i did no excursions because of the price and i have been to catalina before. if i had no been here before, i would be bored. ice cream was the best part. i liked the shops, but kind of expensive.

Ensenada, Mexico

3 out of 5
lots of bees, crowded, store people are constantly trying to advertise, didn’t do exclusions, nothing to do but walk around to shops and vendors, kind of sketchy place, small dirty streets and shops.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
fast, straight foward, we got off within 20-30 minutes from the minute we left our room to when we were in the car.

Traveler Photos
