Review summary

We took this cruise as a trial for my roommate. I have cruised before but she had not. She was worried about getting sea sick. Everything went well and we will be taking a much longer cruise next year.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Line went very quickly. It was too bad many groups did not fill out their forms and pictures before they left home abd this slowed the line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate breakfast and dinner in the main dining room every night because our waiters: Bandoo, Vince. and Aggra were excellent. They were friendly, quick and remembered what we liked and were sure we got it. Food was hot and served attractively. Menu choices except on Mexican night were good. It was difficult to get a drink at the buffet and it would have been nicer if the menu was almost the same every day. The Pizza on the Promenade level was not as it was advertised on the internet and pizza was not a quality product.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The only activity were took part in was to use the Solarium pool and had a massage at the Spa. Music was too loud and seating in bars hard to find.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Dj's too loud at Schooner Bar during Name That Tune. We could not talk with each other. Did not like to use the casino because of all the smokers at the slots.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward did a great job of cleaning the room and excellent at making the beds. Dining room staff tried very hard to pleas us and we enjoyed the tableside conversation. Tables were set up correctly and meals served efficiently. We were never hurried and did not leave hungry!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The walk-in closet was nice to have. We would rather have had 2 smaller chairs than the 1 big blue one and a bigger table for hte coffee maker. Location of the cabin was very convenient.

Ship tip

Fill out your forms and read all the information you can about the ship before you leave home so you can know what you ant to do on ship.
