Review summary
We took this cruise to try out Royal. We have gone on Carnival for almost 13 years. We felt that the ship was nice. But the food was the same quality. We were disappointed about not a lot of entertainment during the day. Disappointed that they close the buffet area for hours between meals, so people are trying to find seat other places. So it's crowded on the main deck. And then they kick you out at 9:00 from the buffet area. Where are people suppose to sit down to chat or play a game with family or friends. Its loud out by the pool with the movies going. And Ice cream closes at 6:00. What if we want ice cream after dinner. Also constantly being asked to make a reservation to one of the restaurants while eating is annoying.Embarkation

Ship tip
Its great one time, but to us the cost wasn't worth it. Royal gives you a nice ship. Carnival is more personalized and gives you more for less money.
