Review summary

Great cruise! Food and shows are top notch. Cabo overnight was amazing! Just wish it was less crowded on board - very hard to use onboard activities.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very efficient and quick. Despite long lines, it moved quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Ate most meals at MDR on deck 4. Food was excellent!! Kids also liked pizza at Cafe Promenade. Buffet was just ok, but saw people touch food and not take it (gross!) so we didn’t go back after the 1st day.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Unfortunately the pools, hot tubs, decks, etc were extremely crowded. Like shoulder to shoulder. It was almost impossible to participate in much.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows are soooo good! Especially the iSkate show!! ISkate cannot be missed!! The production shows (Ballroom Fever! and Showgirl! Past. Present. Future.) were good too, but we preferred the singers from the March performances - the blonde from September was a bit too high pitch screeching. But the shows themselves were really good! And the redhead was really great!! Featured dancers were good too.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff are always amazing onboard!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Layout is great and common areas are very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This is an accessible panoramic oceanview cabin. It’s a pie shaped room so you have double the panoramic windows (there is a non-accessible cabin opposite this one). The room is large for a standard cabin but doesn’t have enough storage and desk/shelving space. Bathroom has a mildew smell.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
I love west coast cruises! San Pedro is close enough to other parts of LA where we were able to do other things before heading to the port. Port parking was relatively inexpensive.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cabo is great! Since this was an overnight port stop, we were able to stay at the Waldorf Astoria resort (not part of cruise excursions). Amazing!!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Again, very organized and easy. However, I wish they let you stay in the rooms instead of kicking you out to gather elsewhere before your number is called.
