Due to hurricane, we couldn't go to Cabo. So we had to endure 2 port days in Ensenada.

Cigarette smoke!

Playmakers Bar & Arcade

4 out of 5

Food was the best we had on board. Beer selection was okay. Not enough seating!

Windjammer Marketplace

Food was disgusting.

Boleros Lounge

3 out of 5

I wanted to spend more time here, seemed like the most fun spot on the ship, but it opens to the casino so it's very (cigarette) smokey. Couldn't stand being there 5 minutes.

To follow up.... I love Mexico but Ensenada was not great. We walked around, stopped at a few taco stands, did some shopping. We did Royal's Food and Tequila tour. You pay $59 pp and get $5 worth of food/drink. (I don't recommend this excursion!) I'm not mad about the hurricane, made for a fun sea day, but any other port would have been preferred to replace Cabo, not 2 days in Ensenada! Not many adult activities onboard that didn't take place in the smoking section. Our favorite was wine tasting, the price and the Sommelier were fantastic! If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke or just don't enjoy smelling like an ashtray, this is NOT the ship for you!! Most shows were good. We liked the comedian and the Showgirls show. The food onboard was a major disappointment. Main dining was usually edible but not great, but the last night I worried for my health and sent back full plates. The buffet was gross. I did love the coconut cookies at the buffet and coffee shop...that's all. We got wings at Playmakers. No complaints. We were afraid to pay for a specialty restaurant in case the food was as bad. We did make a reservation at Jamie's for the last night. When we decided to cancel it, they had no record of our reservation. Good thing we didn't want it. Some trips are a bust. We did try to make the most of it. We paid thousands of dollars to sail on a dirty, smelly ship to spend 2 days in a dirty, smelly town. It was disappointing. I have higher expectations of Royal Caribbean than this.

Thanks for the review. We had a great experience on Navigator. It’s interesting that another reviewer on the exact same sailing said it was amazing and loved everything about the ship. I guess it has to do with the attitude and perspective of the individual

Sorry, you didn't enjoy. NCL and Carnival both have newer ships sailing out of LA. You might want to try one of them and avoid hurricane season.
