Review summary

Given the times, I think the vacation was a success. I try to look at the positives of the trip but wanted to note some areas for improvement.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was pretty good in the Main dining room and had a large variety on the buffets. El Loco fresh was good in between meals. However I bought the refreshment package so that I could drink chai lattes however the ship didn't carry it while we were on board forcing me to go to starbucks to pay for it (again). I got no benefit out of the refreshment package for that reason.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I used the pool in the solarium and played the escape room. I did enjoy the escape room it was mostly feasible, but the last 2 clues seemed nearly impossible.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the shows and the musicians. Show the ice show, the Jazz quartet, Jazz symphony and more.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The Main Dining Room Service was good our table definitely kept them on their toes. While we didn't see our steward everyday he was attentive to all the needs I asked of him. The issue that our entire group had was with breakfast room service. It was extremely behind, sometimes being over an hour late, if it came at all. This seemed to be the case with our entire group of cruisers.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
No complaints here. I think the ships design was great and well cleaned. I saw the crew actively cleaning throughout the day to ensure it stayed clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Everything was great in the cabin. The size was perfect, our attendant kept our room very clean, and all the furniture was comfortable. My only inconvenience was having to run the provided extension cord across the the room to power my CPAP machine.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
No excursions, but we did go to Disneyland while there.

Catalina Island, California

5 out of 5
Loved this port. Got to do the sub excursion. got to see an plethora of fish from all angles. Also rode around the island on the golf cart only thing we missed was the casino tour, but there is always next time.

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did no excursions on this port there were lots of opportunities to shop and do cheaper tours once off the boat. The scenery is vastly different from Catalina Island but still a fun experience.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
It was good overall my only issue was that our luggage was not put with the suite luggage.
