Review summary

Too many unruly kids. Curfews not enforced. Children at adult events in bars after curfew. Adult activities shortened because of this. Worst trip ever.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Kids all over, kicking backs of chairs, screaming and playing in dining room. Saw diaper changes on chairs & tables. That ruined things a bit for me.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Tried most, however children’s activities overlapped adults, cutting times in half. Children’s curfews not enforced. Kids at adult activities in late hours.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Children playing, kicking backs of seats, crying at shows.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
Kids ruled this ship: Lord of the Flies.

Service and Staff

Wonderful staff.

Ship Quality

I saw parents cleaning poop & urine filled diapers on lounge chairs, bar lounge chairs and on tables.

Very nice.

Ship tip

Worse part about shorter/summer cruises. The kids are insane on the mass market lines.

What did you expect during summer vacation, sorry.

I try to avoid cruises when kids are on vacation

Summer is never my choice, but, with family involved, we will occasionally sail in the summer months. Never do it by choice. This was the main reason we left Carnival.

Sorry you experienced misbehaving children (and their parents). We too, try to avoid cruising when most schools are out. Hope your next cruise is much better!

So sorry your cruise wasn't a fabulous one, but don't give up on the Mexican Riviera, it's a fabulous itinerary on those ships that sail 7 days or longer in the winter months❄️

This is exactly why I refuse to cruise during the summer months! I recommend cruising October-May and avoiding holidays and school break times to minimize the number of kids onboard. It significantly improves your vacation experience, and the cruises are usually cheaper!
