Review summary

We have 2 kids (6 and 2). The food was very hit or miss. We ate at MDR for dinner, Windjammer for lunch, MDR for Breakfast, and various other places throughout the day to get snacks for the kids. My boys eat soup all the time at home but all the soups on the ship were incredibly salty and made them almost inedible. For 1 of the 3 night dinners in MDR the food was not good at all and the "steak" was overcooked. Staff was great. I had a 7 day booked for next year but I think we will be changing to another ship because of how disappointing the food was. The weather was very cold (66F) for early July, the itinerary was swapped and I believe it shouldn't have been since the at sea day would have been much warmer if it hadn't been. Out of my 3 cruises (Celebrity and Norwegian being the other two), this was the worst food experience.

My 6yo did enjoy adventure ocean, I wish we’d have used it more (go register as soon as you board). Because the 6yo loves junk food we could always find something for him. It was the 2yo we had difficulty with because he can’t consume everything quite yet. And honestly we shouldn’t have to search every venue just to find something everyone can enjoy. Night 2 at MDR we got a lot of different dishes including a medium rare and medium steaks which came out well done and everything else was mediocre at best. My favorite food was on day 3 at windjammer they laid out a TON of seafood including shrimp and oysters which I love.

Absolutely agree. We went to Windjammer once and couldn't believe hiw bad the food was! MDR was a little better, but nothing different that I couldn't get at a local Dennys...although MDR service was excellent! Several times we were asked if we wanted to visit the NextCruise desk; we just laughed and moved on.

Thank you for sharing. Question, how did your 6yo enjoy the kids club? We're going in a few months with our 4yo. Was the food bad in other venues or just the MDR? Thanks
