Review summary

My first RCL cruise, have done NCL, Princess, and Carnival before. Royal the best in overall comparison. The food is far superior. The boarding process was unbelievably quick. Got out of my cab at the baggage check-in and was sipping my first drink onboard in 30 minute. (note I found out latter that this particular cruse only had 760 passengers)

Embarkation

Excellant, have never boarded so quickly before.

Ship experiences

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Retirees so much of the onboard activities where too young for us. Otherwise the activities where good but limited in number. The ones we did attend where very good, comedy shows where excellent. Stage show was also very good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Only heard the Navigator band once for a single song, at the beginning of one show. They where very good and would have liked to heard more of from them.

Children's Programs

No Kids, but I do intend to bring the grand children on a furture cruise.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter Freezer was excellent. Very attentive without being intrusive. Our room steward was also very good.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I have been on over 10 cruises and size was comparable to the others. Overall livability was very good with the location of closets, couch, desk and draws. Did not like the fact that I could not get to the side of the bed. The location of the bed in relation to the cabinets and couch meant that you had to climb over the bed to get in bed or access night stands.

Ship tip

Prepare to walk a lot its a big ship.

Ports of call
