Review summary

First time doing a 4 night cruise. Probably won’t do one this short again. We like the formal nights and extra days on the ship. Ports and everything about the ship were good just prefer longer cruises.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Royal Caribbean’s port of Miami was effortless. No lines at all and on the ship by 1030. Everything is simple with the new phone app.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Been cruising with Royal Caribbean for over 5 years and the menu is getting old. Nothing has really changed in that time period. Not really a dress code anymore. On the particular cruise there was no formal night or lobster night.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always plenty of stuff to do

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Headliner show was good. Comedian was good. Had musicians at just about all the venues.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone seems to go out of their way on the cruise

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was recently updated with Royals amped upgrade for the upper deck. Water slides etc. Ship was clean and the crew was consistently maintaining the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Junior suite. More room then we needed. Had a fold out couch. Chair and ottoman. Walk in closet. Large balcony with a recliner two chairs and a table. Very clean no issues at all with the cabin. Never spend much time in there except to sleep and shower.

Ship tip

Go outside on the 4th floor and then walk to the front of the ship to access the helicopter pad. Has great views and most people never go.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Same thing every time. Port should be better once they do their renovation. Just walked around for about an hour and came back to the ship. Did not do an excursion. Have done just about all of them since we have been here probably 5 times.

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Stayed here for one night before getting on the ship. Hampton inn on Collins street. Block from the beach. Went to the beach and hung out at the hotel pool. Short distance to the port using ride share cost 13 dollars.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were one of the last groups to get off the ship. From our state room on the 9th floor to curb to leave took about 15 minutes. Don’t need to have the passports out anymore. Took a Lyft and waited about another 15 minutes for them to arrive once we got to the ride sharing location outside.

So glad you had a good time. We won’t do shorter than 7 days but prefer at least 9 or 10 or longer.

I don’t like less than 7 nights. Too short.
