Review summary

The best introduction to cruises. Perfect sized boat with lots of things to do and lots if sand and sun. 2 Nights was definitely not long enough, but a perfect way to see if you like cruises.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
The port was pretty simple to navigate through and the line went fairly fast. Like any embankment day the pool deck was crowded but the poolside entertainment made if fun. We left a little late, and it was after the sun had set and it was dark. The cool thing about that was as we left and they blew the horn, all the condos and hotels near the port were flashing their room lights to wave us good by. Defiantly cool to see.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was average for the cruise line, nothing grand but not bad. Lots of options all around. I didn't drink any except one cocktail that I didn't like at all, but that was a personal thing not the ships fault.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The Royal Promenade was packed on party nights but fun to walk around on. They had rock walls and stuff but I never got a chance to use any of them. Seemed like there was a lot to do.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Royal Promenade was packed but highly entertaining to watch the parties. Had a lot of fun and even got pulled in to do a Congo line at one point. "The Quest" was down right hilarious, the ice show was great, the club was fun to see and people were dancing. Overall, lots to do!

Children's Programs

I don't have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was friendly and everyone seemed to have a good time. No complaints.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I don't recall anything being messy or dirty.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5

Ship tip

There is a walkway that leads to the front of the ship that most people don't seem to notice. It has a great view and a sun roof that lets you see inside the bridge. The crew will wave at you if they see you! Just be careful its VERY windy so hang on to your hats and and skirts!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Cococay has improved a lot since I went there on this trip, but it was a fun little beach trip. lots of beaches to hang out on and chairs. The food on shore was good. Was able to find a hammock to lounge in for a while and the wild chickens weren't evil and chasing people. The water was really cold (but it was January) so snorkeling wasn't very fun, even though I tried.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Embankment went fine, nothing bad or good. We got out of there in time to catch the flight home, and there were lots of taxi's waiting.
