Review summary

That was our second cruise on the Navigator of the Seas. It was excellent in every way from the food, entertainment and the great staff! We thoroughly recommend Royal Caribbean and all their ships!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Me and my partner have cruised with royal Caribbean a lot but never with my children and grand daughter. Embarkation was as smooth as ever only taking about 30 minutes to get onto this lovely ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Wherever we were from the windjammer cafe to the formal dining room, the food was just amazing as normal. we decided to eat our main evening meals in the Sapphire dining room as it is so nice to be served rather than helping yourself. We never left feeling hungry. Excellent!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The only moan i have is that our 2 year old grand daughter was not allowed to swim in her swim pants. We paid the full price for her cruise so i expect more as she is almost completely toilet trained!! Apart from that the flowrider was amazing. Me and my son in law enjoyed taking part in the adult gilf tournaments and even won some medals. They all loved climbing the rock wall and felt a lot of achievement when they rang that bell!!!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Altogether the entertainment is good but after a few cruises you see the same act again and again. Not a moan just a fact. The Queen tribute act was just fantastic and the whole was out of their seats singing and dancing. The ice show is always something not to be missed, The royal caribbean dancers and singers are good but slightly samey after a time.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 2 year old grand daughter went into nursery on 2 mornings and loved it. It gave my daughter and partner a bit of time to do their own thing. Well worth it at $6 an hour.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent staff from our cabin steward to our waiters. Bar staff brilliant as well. No complaints as they all work so hard for our happiness.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
A little bit tired in places and perhaps in need of a reit soon. However always clean and tidy!!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Exactly as it says on the tin. Cabin with ample space and clean. Steward good and provided ice twice a day which we asked for!!

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England

We always stay at the Chilworth Manor Hotel the night before a cruise. We do a cruise and stay package which includes parking for the duration together with a taxi to and from the cruise terminal. Excellent not to get stressed on the morning of your cruise

Le Havre (Paris), France Did not visit port

Bilbao, Spain

5 out of 5
We did not go on an organised excursion but decided to walk to the closest beach. This was only 800 metres away and took only about 20 minutes. The beach itself was large and clean! Very busy even with the locals. However the water was very cold!!

Gijon, Spain

5 out of 5
We took the shuttle bus into town. $10 each and good value. The town was lovely filled with nice shops and cafes. A nice beach too. Very enjoyable!!

Disembarkation

No problems at all. Our luggage was waiting for us. A quick call to the taxi firm and 5 minutes it arrived. So easy and you can see why no fly cruises are so popular!!
