Review summary

I had the absolute best time ever. I had been on one other cruise but I didn't have any idea "how to cruise." I believe there's an art to this sorta thing. JK  It was just so dang much fun...... I don't know where to start.

Ok, first, I have to mention Jeffrey, the director of ..... something. He was on every day with the "happening's" for the next day. He was such a treat to watch (over and over). I would just the let channel loop cuz his sense of humor was so delightful. (The first day He said...... if he sees us and doesn't speak, we should smack him on the back side of his head. Soooooo, I saw him but apparently, he didn't see me. Well, he got smacked but took it so well. He said that I didn't give him a chance. Again, this is debatable. I swear he saw me. I did apologize but he totally took it in stride. He was so fun about it. Then to listen to him host the game shows..... WOW, he is such a natural and made the games so dang fun. I had a blast.

The first day we got there, I needed a nap but after I found out "how to cruise" (meaning there's just so much to do, there's no way you could get bored. (Besides that, only boring people get bored.) The activities that were provided were incredible.

We spent a lot of time at the Spa. It was incredible. Super informative. (Actually, I have solidified my decision to become a personal trainer because of the information I learned there.) It was relaxing, informative, energizing, rejuvenating.... it just .......... was the bomb.com on steroids!

The food. Well, even better than the food was the wait staff. OMGosh again, they were so incredible. Their detail to attention and the way they really cared for us was just so beautiful. I really couldn't have asked for better. We sat with Ritish and Robert every night and they were more than a treat. LOVED them!  A few of the other staff that we had for breakfast or lunch or who totally went out of their way to help us were Angelo and Latisha. They absolutely made my day with how accommodating they were. I was too happy to see them every day! Thank you all of you!!!!!

Kareem cleaned our room every day and ALWAYS had the most positive and upbeat attitude. I mean..... does this guy even know what a bad day is? Almost everyone was super positive and polite and almost everyone spoke when they saw us.

I LOVED, in all caps, this cruise almost as much as I love Jesus. Well, ok, maybe not to that extreme but definitely his disciples!!!!!

Very best vacation I've ever had!!!  EVER!!!!!  Def doing this again!!!!!!!!

Onboard Activities

Freaken loved being entertained all the time; from comedians to game shows, to sports, to plays, to movies on the big screen to..... on and on and on and on and on etc.....

Entertainment

OMGosh, never a dull moment. Not to mention, you can walk all over the dag-gone ship and get all your steps in. That's entertainment enough.

Service and Staff

Just excellent! (But added it above)

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Excellent in terms of a ship, I guess. lol I'm used to staying at a suite in the Marriott. Well, it wasn't that, but it wasn't the Motel 6 either. We had a balcony room, which was comparable to a regular small hotel room (in NYC)?? but I like a lot of room so next time we're getting a suite. ~ No complaints though.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We've been to Ft. Lauderdale dozens of times. Beautiful place to hang out in the sun. We stayed downtown Miami for a couple of nights before the cruise and that was a blast too. It was different (which we wanted) but nice. (I prefer Ft. Lauderdale I think though). One thing to remember... If you're driving, allow at least an extra half hour for traffic right before you get to the ship. It's just very congested. DO NOT TAKE A CAB there. It'll break you. We used Uber from downtown Miami and it wasn't bad at all.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We went horseback riding (in the water too). It was fun. My husband had never ridden horse before but did well ~ even bareback (in the water). The horses were so calm and gentle. Loved it. One thing to remember...... when you're in the water, you get much hotter than you really seem. I got sun burnt... like to a crisp. But it was totally worth it (I didn't have sun block on though).

Falmouth, Jamaica

We climbed the rocks at Dunn's River Falls. It was so fun. Wasn't sure what to expect because I have some knee issues but it was absolutely perfect and easy. Totally blast.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Just stupid how beautiful it was. Again, the sun was hot and i was in the water a lot of the whole time so I didn't realize how much sun I was getting. I did have sun block on my body, but not my face. Major mistake. I was afraid I would break out if I had it on my face. Well, instead, I ended up looking like someone with serious skin issues when I started peeling. Next time I'll take my chances on looking like a pepperoni pizza. Nevertheless, still worth it. The island is so beautiful. We also got a cabana. A bit spend but was so glad we had it. It was just so nice to chill there. It was super clean and water and a floating bed (or whatever they're called) came with it. Getting it again next time.

Fantastic review! I will be visiting Labadee and Falmouth on the oasis in September. A cabana might be a bit out of my price range though...
