Review summary
Had a fabulous week onboard the Navigator. Arrived at 10:45 am for embarkation and was on the ship 25 minutes later. Rooms ready promptly at 1:00, not a big deal to snag a chair on the promenade, have a light lunch and a drink and wait for rooms to open. We skipped the Windjammer crowds and had delicious turkey sandwiches for lunch at the café...hardly anyone on the Promenade at that time so it was nice.
We had Balcony 8622 on the hump and it was the perfect location for us. Plenty of space, very quiet even though near elevators.
Food was better than most I've had on ships. Staff was wonderful, I honestly don't understand reviews saying the staff was sullen and rude. Were you on the same ship??? Anyway, we waited until the 4th and final day to purchase the PP drink package to make use of it for the final sea days. Came out way ahead.
The only excursion we did was the Nache Cochum in Cozumel. Fabulous day and plan to return.
Weather was perfect the duration of the cruise and the seas were eerily calm every day...glassy like a lake.
Disembarked with self walk off at 8:00 am. Line was long on ship, but moved very fast. Through customs and on curb in thirty minutes by 8:30. Do not take later departure and leave bags in hallway night before...crowds and customs gets backed up and disembarkation lines are hours long. Self walk off in Galveston is the only way to go. All in all it was a perfect week. We traveled with three other couples, all agreed it was a fabulous cruise.

Ship tip
St. Tropez sundeck at forward is a guaranteed quiet place to snag a pool chair. Plenty of shade available, hardly anyone up there. Tip a Sky Bar waiter and he'll come upstairs to check on you.

Hi there. You have until day four of the cruise to purchase a drink package. This is standard on all 7 day cruises. The package we chose was $57 per person, per day plus 18%. They prorate it to charge you for days 4, 5, 6, 7 if you wait. I would suggest waiting if you will be off the ship in ports.
