Review summary

The ship is beautiful but getting a little worn. (carpeting, etc.) The staff was great. Our room steward and waiters were always cheerful and ready to accommodate our requests.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was average in comparison with our other cruise experiences. The premium "Chops" restaurant was excellent. Extra beverages were expensive - - glass of wine or a beer over $9 each. We bought a soda package but many times the coke was flat.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was a notch above our other experiences.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Ship's staff were very attentive and cheerful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship probably needs a refurb soon but is very beautiful with tasteful artwork and decorating. Wood trim is really nice to see rather than all plastic.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The room could have used a wireless internet connection and a newer flat screen TV.

Ports of call

Cartagena, Spain

5 out of 5
Our first time here and there were some interesting historical sites.

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We have been here several times and there are many must see sites. La Sagrada Familia and other Gaudi sites, Las Ramblas, Mont Juif, etc.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

5 out of 5
We had not seen Pisa and even though it rained we thought this venue was super!

Pros: The ship is a beautiful ship and the staff were very accommodating.

Cons: The food was average, except for "Chops." All the extras were expensive.
