Navigator of the Seas

5 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)

Sail date: March 21, 2011

Ship: Navigator of the Seas

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

The ship has been maintained in like new condition. The buffet was so good we did not use the formal dining room until the last night. Everything was prepared very very well (and I can be quite critical in a restaraunt). The staff was attentive. The bathrooms in the cabins were well desinged, great showers. Labadee and Falmouth are not the customary stops in Haiti and Jamaica, which made it fun. We would do it again tomorrow... if there weren't so many more places to see in the world. We will have to go back in a few years.

A few more square feet would have been nice.

Ports of call

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
Falmouth just opened as a port for Royal Caribbean in February. Though it has been a port for hundreds of years it is just now being re-habilitated. This is a very poor area. You must book an activity or plan to stay on the ship after looking through the few shops that are available. However, the number of tour choices is huge.
Don't Miss: Dunn's River Falls. Be prepared for a challenge. Wear a swimsuit and beach shoes. Do not carry a backpack or anything for that matter.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Royal Caribbean has created a nice private adventure land. Great beach and plenty of activities.
Don't Miss: The cable ride from "mountain-top" to the beach is awesome.

Pros: The crew of this ship was 100% attentive to our every need.

Cons: Older "box" TVs, not flat screen.
