Review summary

My recent cruise on The Navigator of the Seas was just as I expected-great! I previously cruised on The Mariner of the Seas which is almost identical "sister ship" which was one of my favorite cruise ships. The Grand Promenade deck is always full of activities, shops, entertainment and pubs and cafe. The adult pool area is a nice quite place if that is what you desire and there is plenty of things for the children and teenagers to do. Johnny Rockets if fun and so is the minature golf and rock climbing on the sports deck. The library is a very relaxing place to pick out a book and kick back!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The three floor dining room offers a wide variety menu, including lobster, shrimp, italian and steaks and primb ribs. Each floor is decorated very elegant and a little different. We did early seating for the first time and it allowed us plenty of time to see more shows, casino and entertainment before falling alseep.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Ice Skating show was excellenet and I feel sorry for any passengers that may have missed it. The other shows were good and entertaining. The shows that were on the Promenade were so much fun to watch.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All employees offered friendliness and expecially the bartenders never seemed to forget your name or your drink even if it was only a few times you visited at that bar.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship's layout is one of its best features. The decor is very beautiful, elegant and not too flashy. The Crow's Nest is a very romantic place for drinks and offers nice Jazz in the evening. The Casino is large with plenty of slots and tables to play with a bar centrally located so that you can see all the action going on in the Casino

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our outside cabin was always very clean and comfortable. The size is very comparable to other cruise lines. Plenty of closet and drawer space along with a mini refrigerator.

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

5 out of 5
There was a docking problem at Ocho Rios and we docked at Montego Bay but "No Problem". We were offered pretty much the same tours and because we were closer to Negril and had never been there we choose that tour and loved the white sand and beautiful blue water on the beach.
Don't Miss: The tour guides were fun and had lots of information for us on our trip to Negril.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Labadee has a lot to offer for activities. Also a Haiti street of shopping which was colorful. There were several beaches to choose from, live music and alot of picnic area to select from for your Bar-B-Q lunch.
Don't Miss: We enjoyed just relaxing on a beautiful beach and watching the zip lines overhead.

Pros: The ship itself is layed out great with constant exciting things to see and do!

Cons: Dining Room Waiter Entertainment only on first floor of dining room
