Review summary

Don’t go on Oceania Nautica. Yes the food is excellent but being stuck on this small ship with no port stops,There is nothing to do. As we were told by the senior staff we shouldn’t have spent our hard earned money on this once in a life time cruise. With that kind of attitude by this billion dollar company I am surprised and disappointed that they are still. In business.

Small ship not a lot to do on board except eat and drink and sit around. They say they won’t let people reserve chairs but people do and the crew does nothing about it.

Wait staff great. The senior staff was terrible. We missed 5 out of 7 ports and they didn’t seem to care. A measly $250 future credit which no one we talked to will go on Oceania again. No empathy, they told us we shouldn’t have booked this cruise.

Clean, balcony was nice but the bathroom is the smallest of any ship we have been on.

Don’t sail on Nautica. The senior staff don’t care. As we were told this is their product. Well they can keep their product we don’t want it.

Oceania has nothing to do with United being late. That’s an airline / airport problem Embarkation at cruise terminal, again nothing Oceania can really do, any delays / problem embarking / disembarkation has to do with port authority and immigration and is out of Oceania control. We are currently on Nautica Singapore to Cape Town cruise, the officers and staff have been amazing and probably the best service we have received on any of our past Oceania cruises. The shore excursions have been well planned and has given us an eye opener on how different South East Asia and South Asia countries compare to our comfortable lives back home. Yes, the R class ships such as the Nautica are small ships with limited activities when on board but with some research before booking could have saved you the inconvenience of not enjoying your cruise. We have sailed on R class ships 5 times in the past, yes we find it small but it’s more about the itinerary than it is about onboard activities during sea days. If you’re looking for activities, book on Carnival or other mega sized cruise vessels.

Ready all your review it must have been weather related. They offered everyone on the ship $250.00 future cruise credit but that doesn't mean much if you miss several ports on this cruise. The weather is out of control of the cruiseline. I see you did get to go to one port. Weather can be a big issue for tendered ports. That is unfortunate, but can happen on any cruise ship. We have missed ports due to weather in the past and got nothing offered to us on other cruiselines.
