MSC Splendida severely disappointed me. The Ports of call were fantastic but the cruise ship itself was terrible.

the formal dining, had no chicken options some nights. The buffet had better service however, labels were misplaced. meats were not labelled correctly, there was cross contamination. Observed persons taking food off their plate and putting it back. I bought food from the Ports of call everyday which defeats the purpose of paying for the cruise.

there were no inclusive activities. Everything offered was at an additional cost.

Cabin attendants - Excellent - 5 stars Guest services - 3 stars Waiters - 2 stars I had to wait for a crew member to take me around on the wheelchair as it was not given to me to use at my own free will.

common areas were clean. the layout of the buffet was poor. I had to walk all the way around to make sure i saw all options. things were in different places everyday.

my flight was not until 11pm and i still had to leave the cabin at 8am. there was no option for a disembarkation tour and no available transfers from the cruise ship

Agree with your comments. Waitstaff didn’t seem very friendly at all and the food was very hit and miss in both the MDR and the buffet.

Sailed on Splendida when she was new. She was hugely disappointing then and does not appear to have improved.
