Embarkation

It was terrible!!! I have sailed many other cruises and as soon as we cleared passport and pictures we were on board! We had to wait over two hours after we checked in to get on board…TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiter Ace and Allan de Paula were excellent, the head waiter Aniline Kumar took especially good care of us. Aricel Escala, the hostess at Seaside Restaurant was just as sweet as she could be.. er arrived one night late and she got us a table at 7:30. On the 6th floor bar,Iris Paraino, Richina Locelin and Dewi Antari made our experience extra special. At the Sports bar we really liked Lucas! These guys took interest in us and served us well!
Ship Quality

Yes, however I didn’t like staying at Ocean Cay for two days with nothing but a beach.. no shopping to speak of, only one small bar and the buffet from the ship. Need to work on more things to do on that worthless island.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was a great cabin, with a nice large shower!
Ship tip
Don’t expect the same frills as you get on other ships, ie: no turndown service, no towel animals, no towels given out at the beach, no chocolates on your pillow, I ran out of toilet tissue and asked my steward and he said he didn’t have any.. on any other ship I’ve sailed they drop everything and go get it. So.. no frills.
Took too long, for some reason we were in the next to last group getting off!! My husband ended up in the Emergency Room as soon as we disembarked due to a large blood clot in his leg and bilateral blood clots in his lungs!! That had nothing to do with disembarkation, but I don’t think it would have been as dire had we been allowed to disembark earlier.
I hope your husband recovered quickly. Obviously, that type of thing is never good. Hopefully, he didn't experience other misfortunes. I'm glad you liked your Stateroom and the main dining room too. Thank you for your review.
Sorry to hear you were not happy on your cruise I love MSC We get a weeks vacation 3meals a day and the adventure of being on a beautiful ship at half the price 💰💰💰 on RCL. Or NCL
I knew the first time I cruised last Oct and Nov. on Meraviglia then SEASIDE. In May Going again in Sept. I actually am getting 4 cruise for the price of 2 on other Cruise lines.
We always get balcony and the drink package.
Can’t beat that on a Beach vacation
I hope u can give it another try. Seashore is coming soon. I’m looking forward to trying it too Maybe

Maybe a cruise to Alaska or Canada / New England, since you didn’t like beautiful beaches? Or a land trip to New York or Chicago, since you wanted more shopping?
Thanks for your review. Some other cruise lines have started to remove turn down service. Towel animals to me are totally unnecessary when staff are already stretched, and surely just creates more laundry anyway. And I wasn’t aware chocolates on the pillow were the norm!
I’ve been on six MSC Cruises in the past 18 months and had a wonderful experience. Ocean Cay is by far my favorite private island of any cruise because it is not overly developed. They always have a towel station set up as soon as you enter the island to swap out your beach towel, if it is wet.
Ouch! First off, I sincerely hope your hubby is okay!
Second, thanks for the honest review. I've never sailed MSC, but I've pretty much always assumed there would be a catch involved with their stupidly low fares sounds like I'll be seeing you back on the other lines soon enough.
