Worst cruise we’ve ever been on. We have been on multiple cruises and never had an issue with any of them.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
No information, had priority boarding which meant nothing.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Steak was like eating a pork chop. Different waiter every night. Worker closed the curtain on me at the buffet because it was exactly 9pm
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The activity hosts couldn’t wait for the activity to be over. The 4D theater wouldn’t work right.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Entertainment was very amateur.
Service and Staff
1 out of 5
Underwear left on our balcony from previous cruise, most bartenders were very rude. It felt like if you were white and American, then your satisfaction was not their priority.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
Very clean but horrible design. Our elevators by our room didn’t go down to the floor of the restaurant we were assigned to. Everything seemed very enclosed compared to other new ships. You could feel every wave.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Had to use my shower head to fill up the toilet so we could flush it, air conditioning was horrible! Beds are very hard and sheets were stiff. Charged us for room service even though this package says it’s free. Charged me twice for everything I bought on the ship, gratuities, and an additional $1,200 for something that the accounting department can’t even tell me what it’s for. Location of the room was awesome.
MSC doesn't charge the room service at the time of booking likely mostly cruises lines that they give you the option, when you board a MSC the 2nd day you pay the room Service charge per person and that's the way they work, so those who travel MSC must be known to save money before your cruise for that day
I Sail MSC Seashore last year didn't know that until later and it was my 1st MSC Cruises. Surely it wasn't a perfect cruise overall I really enjoy
I even also book for MSC Seascape this year
We are booked for a May sailing on Seascape. We went on Divina in November and was our first time with MSC. There were some things we weren't happy with, but we decided to go on another MSC cruise. We were also charged $210 for something and they can't tell us what the charge is for. Called them and emailed several times and get the same answer. I'm going to end up disputing the charge with my credit card company. We also decided to a cash account on our next cruise with them. Been on many cruises and never did a cash account.
People love or hate MSC. I have been on MSC 3 times in the past year for a total of 26 days and had a great experience. I thought the food, entertainment, service, etc. was equal to or better than Carnival and Royal Caribbean. When most everything is rated one star, the problem is usually the reviewer, not the cruise ship or cruise line.
Sorry no refunds. I didn't have all those problems on my MSC but I don't doubt any of them. The closing of the curtain on you sounds typical for them. I don't think they are racist, they just have a different customer satisfaction policy from other cruise lines. But I can think of far worse steaks I've had on other lines than one that tasted like pork chop, so I wouldn't complain about that.
