Review summary

The ship was beautiful, new, well-decorated and clean. But the food in the main dining-room was terrible - picture bottled salad dressings, powdered mashed potatoes, boring, unimaginative menu, food served lukewarm. The buffet was a little better as there was always fresh fruit and salad fixings; although, the salad dressings were a dissappointment. Even my husband who likes everything was unimpressed. But even worse than that were the servers. None of them spoke or understood English, so they were basically order-takers, and unfriendly ones at that. They were all from Bali, Indonesia so the food and customs were probably all very foreign to them. But the Italian crew weren't much better, the help on the reception and accounting desk and in the stores - all very unfriendly like everybody was unhappy. Everytime we asked a question, the answer was always, 'impossible' , or 'no'. No apologies, or explanations. One girl at the reception desk merely pointed to a sign that said the ship was full, when we asked to be ungraded. We live in Florida 6 months of the year where everybody is friendly, so it was quite a shock to be surrounded by glum, unhappy people for a whole week.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

really bad, can't imagine prison would be much worse

Entertainment

1 out of 5
the that theatre shows were a joke - same 'dancers' that basically walked around in costumes to canned music. The singers and violinist were good and some of the entertainlment in the lounges were ok, but 7 days was enough of the same songs over and over again,

Service and Staff

Ship tip

Study the layout and find out how to get from one place to another - our cabin was in the back and to get to the middle of the ship, you couldn't walk thru the dining rooms.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We just rolled on our bags with us, there was no option to check our bags - which was ok for us.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

we found out after that there was a beach close by - but the excursion dept on the ship doesn't tell you this, they just want to sell you excursions.

Nassau, Bahamas
