Review summary

As first time cruisers, it took us a while to figure out things such as which restaurant we were assigned. The information on the MSC for me app was limited. The ship seemed to be very low tech. The only thing the wifi, that I paid for, could provide was the MSC for Me app. As I stated previously, the wait staff that we had assigned to our dinner table were excellent and attentive. Steak knives should have been offered for any of the beef entrees. I was disappointed that all the "fresh baked goods" were served cold, not even warm. In fact, most of the "hot" food was served warm at best. For the most part they had good flavor. I realize it's a large ship with a lot of people to serve and that shouldn't mean cold food, even the food at the buffet. Butter was not offered with bread, water was only available at the bars. The bartenders were all personable. However, there was no consistency in the Margaritas, some were excellent and others were not very good.

The people checking us in and giving us our cards had difficulty with the readers working correctly due to lack of light

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Biggest complaint, the meat was often tuff and steak knives were not offered. Had to ask for one. Food was served warm at best and fresh baked goods were cold. Had to ask for butter for any bread.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Only used the hot tubs.

Didn't see any

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent! Especially Philayo Lungshong, Xavier Kandathil and Agung Wirjanak for their gracious and attentive service in the dining area. And our wonderful cabin attendant Jeffrey Albanya(?), not certain of his last name. He went above and beyond, he was cleaning our room and notices the slider was not sealing properly. He immediately got maintenance in to replace the gasket. He also was very friendly and always greeting us by name.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Since this was our first cruise, I have nothing to compare the layout to. It seemed well cleaned and maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin 13076, was lovely and roomy for us. The balcony was wonderful and we spent a great deal of time just enjoying watching the sea.

Ship tip

The technology is not great. The wifi, which I paid extra for, was useless. Would have enjoyed being able to follow where the ship was like airplanes can do.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

We decided to stay on board ship instead of doing any of the excursions.

Disembarkation
