I was on the Devina about 6 years ago and liked it ok. Again a beautiful ship but not much nightlife. That part hasn’t changed but now you can’t even get drinks. I think they’re not equipped for that many people. Either sell less rooms, don’t offer drink packages or build more bars and restaurants
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Very smooth, we were on the ship before our scheduled time, but then the lines started
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The buffet was ok, pretty normal for a big ship but there were rarely any other options for breakfast and lunch. Dinner in the restaurant was good the first night then went downhill from there
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We tried to sit back and enjoy ANY of the pools but we couldn’t get cocktails. If we got past the 45 minute wait for a drink, they were out what we like- beer and Prosecco (which is on the drink package we purchased)
Entertainment
Didn’t go to any
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was wonderful, it’s not their fault management doesn’t read the reviews and make improvements
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship was very clean. It’s a beautiful ship but NO STAIRS OR ELEVATORS in the back of the ship so I didn’t really understand that layout
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The cabin is was fine, our steward was great but it took forever to get anywhere since we were so far away from stairs or elevators
Ship tip
My advice is to pick another cruise line, at least until MSC makes some serious improvements
Reviewer travelled in Bella experience? Safe bet. Well, you get the choices you pay for.
And with so many things to drink, if they run out of one thing, choose something else.
The bar is busy? There's a quieter one somewhere on the ship.
So, they ran out of limes. Choose something else which doesn't depend on limes.
It's a vacation. Be flexible. You'll enjoy yourself more. Your bartender will appreciate it. And so will I, standing next to you at the bar, harshing my mellow. Oh well, there's another end to this bar. I'll go wait there. 😉
The 3-4 day cruises are becoming booze / party cruises with the cheap fares that include the drink package. Try a 7 day or longer itinerary for a better experience.
