Review summary

The cruise was good but due to a passenger mishap we were late getting on board. I drove from Tampa and actually wasted half of my day not being able to board when I was to board. When we did get on the ship was late. Hope folks can be reimbursed something. Otherwise it was okay. Food selection can be better also.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
There was a delay and when we did get on the cruise there was really no one directing us what to do or telling us anything. This was my 1st cruise so I felt lost

You need to read your cruise contract next time you cruise... any departure time, destination, port, etc, is subject to change, and you agreed to that. Sad someone's death makes you feel entitled to a "reimbursement ". Smh

Some people now want to compensated for chilly weather in December, their own bad planning, now - for disruption due to tragedy.

Your " passenger mishap" was the death of a passenger who went overboard. I was on board when this " mishap' occurred. The fact people think they deserve compensation due a human dying and causing an interference to their plans is truly disgusting!!!

SethAndRita; a 12 day cruise has 12 nights

I laugh when people tell me they were on an X-DAYS cruise - you don't board until the afternoon, and you've got to get off on the early morning. That's why I tell people "we're taking an 11-NIGHT cruise", instead of a 12-day cruise. Our last cruise was a 6-night - and we were sorry when it was over. There is plenty to do on 11-nights with 5 days at sea - and just the two of us, alone - no distractions and plenty of time to just focus on each other.

Wonder if their next cruise will be any better (not counting the delay)?

My understanding is that there has been a passenger over board. No fault of the cruise line. You departed the day you were scheduled to depart though, correct?
