Review summary
Very disappointed in the overall experience. The food and service were horrible and the clientele onboard were unruly and incredibly rude and ship staff did nothing about it. We spoke to about a dozen or more crew who were all looking to leave MSC and go to Royal Caribbean as they said they were treated badly onboard. It was VERY apparent throughout the ship the staff and crew were not happy. We are ready to get off the ship the first day and so happy it was only a 3 night cruise, which was 2 days too many.Embarkation

Food and Dining
Marketplace Buffet
Selection very limited at embarkation lunch and the same things are repeated at each station. Salad bar was only salad, so toppings and same with the Mexican or as they called it “ethnic” station only had beans, meat and chips, no toppings. Very strange set up and selections. The breakfast and lunches the rest of the cruise were also very limited in selection and many times when food would run out the staff would say to go to another station (happened to use three times). The salad bar was missing a critical ingredient, namely salad. If you could find lettuce (from the burger grill) there were none of the usual accompanying things like cheese, diced meats, onions, broccoli, or other things you would expect on a salad bar. There was only corn and kidney beans.Overall the marketplace was a huge disappointment for every meal.
Waves Restaurant
Dining room is very cramped and over crowded with very low ceilings. We only ate here once for lunch and it was uninspiring with very slow service and our order for two people was mixed up several times. Also interesting to note they have Coke products but no Diet Coke.
Panorama Restaurant
The menu selections and food quality could use a lot of improvement. The presentation of the food is more akin to a cafeteria than a nice restaurant. It was odd to see the decor namely lighting was interrogation strength in one area and another area would be plunged in darkness. Who ever designed the dining room didn’t consider how to make even lighting throughout the room so that it would create an ambiance. The service in the dining room was VERY good which is why I rated this a little higher overall. Our waiter Zeri was fantastic...very personable and attentive and certainly made up for the short comings in other areas. Overall food would be 3 stars but the service was great, so giving this a 4 star overall.
Jean-Philippe Chocolate & Coffee
Very impressive to see all the beautiful creations made onboard. Lots of great gifts to take home.
Onboard Activities
Casino Imperial
Very smokey throughout the casino and very small casino given the size of the ship. The tables were cramped and hard to get a seat given how few there were and there was no craps tables. Very disappointed in the casino.
Horizon Pool
The main pool area a beautifully done and has lots of seating including Balinese beds surrounding the pool.

Ship tip
Expect everything to be done in 6 languages and have low expectations for food and service.
