This was a shorter duration cruise than we normally have taken but we thoroughly enjoyed it. The ship and staff are very good and nice and accomodating. The night life needs to be stepped up a bit and the wifi needes improvement. Beyond those 2 things I HIGHLY Recommend MSc Meraviglia as an option for your future cruise. If you have the budget choose the Yacht Club experience, It is second to none!

The drink package we chose (Easy Package) served our needs just fine. We are not heavy drinkers and we had all we wanted. The Main Dining room Waves was awesome and a great selection of food each evening. If you want a higher quality steak than their New York strip you can get an 18oz Ribeye for only $20. That is an amazing price and it is very good! The buffet on Deck 5 was always amazing with many selections. Food and Drinks on MSC Meraviglia and Seaside have never been an issue for us. I see many people rate MSC low on this area but I honestly do not understand why. Some people just have unrealistic expectations and no one will ever meet them. Just my $.02
Onboard Activities

The gym is great, water slides, other physical activity including walking track and pools and hot tubs are amazing and plentiful. The one car band was very good. This is an area MSC probably needs to pay more attention to. Their staff is great but the bands and night life entertainment could improve. (this is just my opinion others may differ)
Entertainment

You will not find better quality talent or quality shows on any other ship. It is Broadway and Las Vegas quality. Lighting, sound and costumes are SUPERB! The performers are stellar and very professional. If you like ONE style only you may not be satisfied but if you are open minded and will try new things then you will enjoy the nightly entertainment. IT's also hard to beat a Cirq de Solai presentation on a cruise ship!
Service and Staff

We could not have asked for better service from our room steward and wait staff each evening. The bar staff was great for us as well. It's all in how you TREAT the people working hard to serve you. IF YOU are DEMANDING personality you may not get the level of service you hoped for. If you are kind, appreciative and caring you will receive STELLAR service from the staff. It's not that hard!
Ship Quality

GORGEOUS ship. The promenade deck is really beautiful. MSC has some of the most beautiful ships I have ever been on. The newer ships are better designed than the earlier ships they brought into the USA market. I believe they have listened and made adjustment accordingly. The ship was very clean and the crew works all day and night to keep it looking as good as possible with 5700 passengers using the ship each week.
Cabin / Stateroom

The closets are a little too small. The bathroom is fine compared to most other ships. The balcony of Meraviglia was smaller than the one we have had on Seaside. The room all in all ivery comfortable and we had no issues.
Ship tip
Meraviglia is a stunningly beautiful ship. We docked in Cozumel, after our itenirary was changed due to their private island Ocean Cay not yet being finished due to delays from Hurriancanes earlier in the season, and Liberty of the Seas pulled up next to us (which we had been on 2 years ago and enjoyed) and it looked very old compared to Meraviglia which has a much more modernized look to it. There are a lot of fun activities on Meraviglia to do. If you are a PARTY Animal this probably is not the ship for you. The value is HARD to beat for what you get. THe wifi is still alittle troublesome. They have some bugs to work out to make it easier to connect. Those of us who need to work a little while on vacation need this area improved upon.
We love Miami and our last 3 cruises have been out of Port of Miami. It is beautiful and very well organized. It's amazing to watch these workers handle as many as 6 ships per day. We love South Beach and we experioences Dolphin Mall for the first time and man we had fun shopping at all of the outlets. The Mall is HUGE. Many other things to do in Miami as well. We liev in Texas but prefer to cruise our of Miami as opposed to Galveston.
This part of the process of MSC Cruise experience is extremely easy. Once your group is call you are off the ship in less than 15 minutes and outside waiting for ground transportation. Seamless the 3 times we have done it in the last 2 years.
That's for your thorough review! My sister and I are sailing on Meraviglia january 5. Her first cruise but I was on seaside in february. Were you in a yacht club room? I bid for an upgrade but haven't heard yet if I got it
