Will do this again - Soon. We had clear skies (for the most part), and calm seas.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
15 minutes from the time we arrived at the terminal until we were at our cabin. MSC knows what they are doing.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Our MDR was Quattro Venti everything we ordered was spot on. Good sized portions well prepared. We ate in the buffet for breakfast. Plenty of selections and the food was good. Their Pizza is the best I have ever had.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Spent some time in the gym, not bad. Played some trivia, lot of fun. Hot tub was good and hot. Sang in Kareoke and was hand selected by the director to perform with the live band the next night.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
All three of the shows in the theater were amazing. The cast were very good and the main singers were way above the norm found on other cruise ships. The Cruise Director (Dr E) was more entertaining then their headliner comedian. We spent a lot of time in the sports bar because of the Stanley Cup Finals. They had two different country bands that kept swapping off. The solo singer was very good. The only really good part of the other group was the fiddle player, he was fantastic. We really enjoyed the piano player in the atrium.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff were always cleaning. Bar staff were very attentive. MDR staff were amazingly quick and learned what we drank right away. They brought our drinks to the table as soon as we sat down.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Nice layout of the ship. Easy to get around. Entire ship was very clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We were in balcony cabin 9020 (fwd on the starboard side). The cabin was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Have read reviews that said the pillows were terrible, but I disagree they were perfect. Only had two complaints about the cabin - 1, we could not decorate the door with our magnets - they would not stick. However, we managed to get a couple of them to hold on the wall beside the door. 2, not enough outlets. Good thing I brought a power bar or we would have had problems.
Ship tip
Relax, get rid of expectations and enjoy your cruise.
Fantastic day. We ate at DJ's Clam Shack. Had their lobster roll - best I have ever had, will go back again to have another one. Went to the Key Lime Bakery and had key lime pie - to die for. All other key lime pies (which I love) cannot hold a candle to theirs.
Amazing review!! Thanks for sharing what sounds like a dream cruise fr!! The Ship Tip could not be more on point. It’s the perfect recipe for all-around fun. Congratz on being selected by the Director to join the live band
🥳!! Clearly he got your mission statement!! Happy cruising 🤩⚓️😎❣️‼️
