Review summary

First time sailing on MSC. Based on everything I've experienced I very likely won't go on another MSC cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were early to embarkation and were allowed on without any lines or issues.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5

L' Edera Restaurant

5 out of 5

Staff were fantastic and extremely nice. Dinner was extremely delicious every night. I was a little confused when they didn't have a formal night.

Sahara Buffet

1 out of 5

The breakfast buffet was sad and not at all good. The only good thing about the buffet was the snacks.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Deck 16 (top 16) was the only adults only spot and you weren't allowed up there unless you had the aurea package. There wasn't a way to buy a day pass.

Jacuzzis

3 out of 5

Only enough room for about 6 people and the outdoor ones close at 10. The indoor ones at 11.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The adults only comedian was okay. The theatre performers did a good job each night they performed.

Royal Theatre

4 out of 5

There were shows all nights but one but each of them were something new and entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stacy was a fantastic person. She was very nice and did her best to be quick.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Room is cleaned twice a day unless you don't want it to be. Common areas were very well kept.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Fantastic view, though we were able to hear music from the pool area.

Ship tip

Don't expect all the frills. There are no water slides. There's plenty to keep you entertained unless your napping. The bed is a brick.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Everything is in walking distance of where the ships come in. The beach is crystal clear. Straw market is nearby. Queens staircase was also very interesting to see.

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
It's not really a port, honestly. We just got on the boat, ate for a little bit and went to the theater show.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

3 out of 5
We just went to the beach ($10/pp!) and went shopping.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
There wasn't hardly any customs enforcement. We had a harder time going through TSA than we did coming off the ship.
