Overall we had a wonderful time despite the many changes and not getting the $50 onboard credit we were told we would get.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
We were told it was 2:00 but the day before we left we received a notification that it was changed to 11:30.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Buffet was good. Specialty restaurant was not good. Very slow and food wasn’t good. Also they changed our dining time on us too.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Pool was too cold. Hot tub was luke warm. Number of pools and hot tubs did not accommodate how many people were on board. Since the pool was too cold, and the hot tubs were overcrowded, the activities like ping-pong or foosball were constantly in use. It was hard to get a turn.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Performers were good. Singing was great. It was a little cheesy though.
Children's Programs
No children with our group
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Room stewards were on top of things! Very nice too.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship was very clean. Layout was great. Just needed more hot tubs and pingpong tables.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was bigger than what I was expecting but it was cramped. I loved the closet/ drawers/shelf system. That was a plus.
Ship tip
Be ready for changes and don’t rely on the on board credit you’re told about. You will have a great time and the private Island (Ocean Cay) is just beautiful!
It was beautiful and no shady stuff like Nassau. It did not reek of pot either. This was the best day of the cruise! The whole island was very clean and accessible. It was just lovely.
If you booked your cruise through MSC they will add the promotional onboard credit after your cruise is booked. It will be listed in the add-on section. If it's not all you do is call them to get it added. However if you book through a travel agent you have to call them. Whatever you add to your cruise will be listed on your boarding documents. If it's not listed you don't get it, so resolve your issues before boarding day. Thanks for your feedback.
Problem with going through one of the World Travel Holdings’ phone numbers is that many of the phone sales folks just want to get done and off to the next call. Little things like OBC are often skipped in the name of profit/speed. You have to read the contract VERY closely and see if it is included (personal experience, he did not sound happy I made him add what he “forgot” to add in and send a new contract). Also, if possible, see what the cruise line says you have.
