Service people were excellent. Ship was clean and well staffed. Swimming pools were deep with no shallow end and do not always have a lifeguard so watch kids. Shows were average. Buffet and especially dinning food was terrible.

Review summary

Budget price = budget cruise. Kids were bored. Food was really not good. Sorry but it's true.

Embarkation

excellent

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Dining room and Buffet food only barely qualifies as food. Had, (you know what) for two days, after trying their onion soup. Service in dining room was slow. Buffet eggs were awful. Tasted like powdered eggs. The meat was not edible. Tiny thin steaks were full of fat and gristle. Ate lots of really good mashed potato's. Spend more and hope you get food that is reasonable.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
If you like to see people shuffling around together on deck you'll love it. The shows were ok.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Gifted singer but didn't sound or look like Elvis. Didn't enjoy comedian. Last two shows were okay.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
none..small areas with no kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All Service and Staff were terrific.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Old ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
was tiny, really tiny! Queen bed was twins pushed together. Kept finding myself in the space between the beds. Uncomfortable. Great view from window.

Ship tip

This was not one of the best cruises I've been on. Don't expect any great things for you kids to do. I got what I paid for. Next cruise I'll pay more for and expect better food. Service staff were terriffic.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

4 out of 5
Port ok. No excursions.

Nassau, Bahamas

2 out of 5
What you would expect. Prepare for lots of walking.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Beautiful whit sand beach but water was too cold to swim in.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very well planned and executed

You selected an older MSC ship, which is excellent for those who don't like crowds. But having kids that may think it's like the Icon of the Seas, I don't think so. You could have paid the same and cruised on one of their larger ships. But low price equals low quality overall. Also try looking at YouTube videos before you book a cruise to know what to expect. Thanks for your review.

Just came off that ship. I have to agree. I wasn't that impressed and probably won't sail that cruise line again. I'm on Enchanted Princess now and love it so far
