Review summary

We were looking forward to our cruise. They made our 3 year old take a covid test in which the team was very invasive and rude who administered and it traumatized my daughter.

It seems if one is in doubt it's less of a headache to do the testing and not need it rather than not do it and then need it. MSC just changed the testing requirements again two days ago and tests are required until August 29. It was slated to end August 8. This makes me nervous as my cruise with them is September 1. I'll check daily and be as prepared as possible.

Did they state beforehand that they required proof of a negative test for children your daughter’s age and you didn’t have it, is that why they tested on the day? Or was there another reason? What did you not like about the way they administered the test and why didn’t you take the cruise? Can’t really say that MSC are in any way to blame without knowing any details

Did MSC change their testing rules without notice?

Why did they demand that your 3-year-old be tested for covid? Did she have flu-like symptoms? Why didn't you proceed with embarkation after the test? Did she test positive?

Others have reported issues as well. Time to search for a new cruise line.

MSc love them or hate them, seems to be the theme.

MSC is one of if not the largest shipping Companies. They don’t want to be in the personal cruise business. They are rude. The only way to cruise MSC and enjoy the trip is through the Yacht Club.
