Review summary

The cabin was okay if you can forgive the tiny shower. The food was out of a can or a freezer. I compared their desserts to those you find at a Chinese buffet. Horrible. I thought an Italian based cruise lime would have good pastas and breads. Chef boyardee made every meal. What cruise line has buffets that are too often found closed? That serves the same foods every single meal? Food that has either hot spots or ice chunks in it? Who closes ice cream service at 7? Who has one barista for thousands of guest? Whose dining room meals are dry, cold, with meats and lobster so tough you can’t cut it with a steak knife??? Who thinks this is acceptable??? Who puts customer satisfaction last?? MSC!!!!!!!!

The food was an embarrassment. Most was frozen or came out of a can. No variety! Same buffet daily. Better food is served in prison daily I’m sure. Their drink package is necessary but cost too much. Their easy package is $35 per day per person and includes coffees, colas, and easily made drinks such as rum and coke or vodka grapefruit. The mixing of these drinks were very inconsistent between bartenders. One made it in a tiny short glass that included mostly ice. Another bartender made it in a large glass full of liquor

Onboard Activities

All events were boring with the same organizers in your face over and over. Large parties promoted as a do not miss event equaled around 6 songs. Most all music and entertainment was in Spanish. English speaking in social settings were rare. No accommodations for visual or hearing impaired individuals

Service and Staff

There was a ton of staff everywhere. Rarely were they helpful. You often found people standing at the bar to order drinks with the wait staff standing around. I remained in the buffet dining room drinking coffee and reading a book following breakfast. It was later and most tables were empty. It was suggested to me that I would enjoy my book and coffee more if I moved to the pool deck. I was not a fan

My ocean view cabin had enough room for two comfortably. Bathroom was just an unforgivable accident in measurements. What sane person believes any person can fit in comfortably in a shower that is 3ft along one wall and 2 ft along the second wall and then it’s cut in half.

Ship tip

Choose the grill every meal. If it weren’t for the burgers, hot dogs, and pizza, we would have done without. If you want to socialize or enjoy entertainment you must know Spanish

Totally opposite from my experience??? It was awesome we thought and I’m an avid cruiser. 🤷‍♂️

It seems all of the cruise lines are cutting back on the quality of the food in the main dining rooms and buffets to save money and encourage people to try the specialty restaurants for an additional cost. It’s also difficult to serve anything much above banquet quality food to 2000+ people 3 times a day, 7 days a week.
