Review summary

Monarch of the Seas was a wonderful experience for our family. The ship was clean, there were plenty of activities for us and our children. The rock climbing wall was wonderful, staff were both friendly and accomodating.

We did not see any shows but the day time activities were good. A nice fitness center although the classes cost extra (spinning) and I did not think it was worth the extra money, it was nothing special.

Our children asked to go back each night after the first night we took them there. The activities were fun and entertaining.

The waiter was wonderful, the staff were all friendly and very eager to make our cruise special.

The size of our cabin was small for all 4 of us. We did not spend much time in the cabin but it was tight. I think for our next cruise we will consider spending a bit more for a larger room.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

There were no restaurants on this island but there was no need for one! You eat all you want on the ship and lunch was served on the island. The beach was beautiful and we saw plenty of interesting creatures under the sea! There is a water park there, not sure that was worth the money, the people who did pay for it did not seem to use it all day, as I am sure the novelty wore off quickly. Also, the tide went out early afternoon and I suspect that affected the water park since the water was ankle deep by early afternoon.

Nassau, Bahamas

You are in Nassau for a long day so I would suggest some type of excursion. There is shopping but not enough to take all day. Snorkeling was awesome!
