Review summary

This was our first cruise. We heard many good things about taking a cruise, and they were all right. We were on the Monarch of the seas and it was a beautiful ship. The service, entertainment, and amenities of the ship were all excellent. The food was also excellent. we took a short a trip just to see if we would like it and we were left wanting more. We also had the pleasure to be on the only ship with a female Captain in the cruise industry!

No matter the question every staff member was able to help. Not once did we get, "you need to ask this or that person." They were all knowledgeable of the ship and everything about it. Amazing!

Take the excursions or go on a tour. We made the mistake of trying to go about it ourselves and regretted it.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Had a great time. A private island all to ourselves, what's not to like. They had hammocks in the shade, plenty of beach chairs and they even had a little shopping area with souvenirs.
