Review summary

I feel VERY un-supported by and my travel agent (Peyton Haysen). She is supposed to be my advocate in this process.

We had issues with documents. The first time we were told the birth certificate had to be issued by the Bureau of vital statistics was st the port. After some time waiting for our luggage guest services asked us to wait by the door. After going to the front door, security told us they doubted we would get our luggage.

I see that you have cruised before in the Mediterranean, so you must have had a passport.

I recommend a TA that you can deal with in person, not online. And passport is a must

I don’t know about the bureau of vital statistics. But it does have to be a legal birth certificate, stamped, and or sealed by the state you were born in. Pretty straightforward I would’ve thought. That and a drivers license you’re good to go. Although why anyone would travel out of the country and not get a passport is beyond me. Live and learn.

One star to the cruise you've never taken just because you showed up without proper documentation.

If you used an online travel agent, they have high turnover rates and rarely respond after the sale. It’s still the passengers responsibility to verify what is needed. How did you get on the ship in 2019?

You have listed a previous cruise on a Royal ship in 2019. I believe the same travel documents that are necessary today as they were then. It’s all spelled out on the Royal web site as well as in your cruise documents which you receive and should read and understand. We always travel with a passport and make sure we know when it expires so we can renew in time. It eliminates any potential issues with boarding and gives us a piece of mind.

It’s always important to read and understand what is required to board the ship. That information is on the website and in the details in documents provided to you to board the ship.

Other than Bureau of vital statistics where else would you get one ??? Pretty sure that is the ONLY place that issues them.
