absolutely horrible. had wrong documentation and didnt get on cruise. royal caribbean told us it was our problem and would not refund and money or even credit towards another cruise. lost $2000. thought it was horrible of royal caribbean

Review summary

we accidently had a copy of documentation and they did not accept it so we could not go on cruise. called royal Caribbean to talk to them about possible refund or credit towards another cruise. they told us it was our problem and they do not refund. asked about credit towards future cruise and was told once again it was our problem and they would not do that. thought it was so unsympathetic by them. have 14 daughter which so disappointed and they did not care a bit. wasn't asking for anything for free. just wanted credit. paid $2000 for a 3 night cruise. lost it all

That’s terrible. I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t accept a copy. I’m so sorry you didn’t get to go on your cruise. Just so you know carnival did accept copies of birth certificates with a valid ID.

I would suggest travel insurance. That's what it's for. I know it sucks but it isn't anyone else's responsibility to pay for your error.

What do you mean with accidentally having a copy of a document? If you do not have insurance no matter how much you cry (as long as is not their fault) they do not have to give you a refund. Sound horrible but that what you signed on the documentation. Is your responsibility to have the right documents. Sorry your kid did not enjoy the trip. I can imagine how horrible you feel.
