7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)
Sail Date: January 15, 2012
Ship: Mariner of the Seas
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple
Reviewed: 5 years ago
It was immediately obvious that Royal has cut back on staff and services. While our evening dining experience was wonderful, the menu for breakfast and lunch in the dining room were barely ok. The bar staff around the pool were understaffed and it took a while to get drinks when ordered. Our stateroom was well taken care of but we missed the extra touches that made Royal so special. For example, no lotions, no stationary, no chocolates no towel animals every night..

The evening shows were barely ok. Gary Mule Deer was great and the highlight of the entertainment. Elvis impersonator was awful
