The Marina was our first cruise experience and we could not be more pleased with our cruise. The itinerary was perfect with each stop thrilling and beautiful. The entire experience was 5 star!

Great cruise, wonderful staff, beautiful ship! by sdains480

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Cruise was great! When we had an issue with a guide in St. Petersburg, we contacted our Cruises-Only agent, Glenn, who got us a new (and great) guide for the next day! Thank you, Glenn.

Very nice Baltic cruise...Would have been 5 star but for a few issues with main dining room service and some of the land tours. by espelfogel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

A fine cruise and tour on an excellent cruise line. This was our second cruise on Oceania...The first, last year was to the Mediterranean where we had much better whether and could use the ship's outdoor pool and other outside facilities.

overall great cruise by SFWR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Overall a great cruise experience - the quality of food lived up its hype of Oceania. Most of the food I had were excellent, although the grand dining room is a bit disappointing. The ports we visited were interesting, and especially St. Petersburg which is absolutely beautiful.

Nice Cruise by fbeckerjr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe

Due to weather the visit to Amsterdam was cancelled - while I understand the reasons for this and have no complaint with the decision the situation was handled very poorly.  The ships crew went on with business as usual - they could have kept the destinations desk open rather than closing as previously scheduled - they could have added a happy hour, etc.   If Oceania expects those on the cruise to be flexible the crew should be as well.

We booked the OE tour to Paris having been led to believe it would be substantially different from the other tour - the only difference was the OE tour was on a van as opposed to a bus and the seats on the van were smaller than the bus and uncomfortable.

Oceania Marina 2 June 2017 by Cruiser72115878

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe

favorite part was the excellent variety of food & dining experience. Onboard activities were limited compared to other cruises we were on, but tours & variety of tours as well as the organization of tours was excellent.

Great cruise by revaf29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I enjoyed all of the restaurant choices.   I was most disappointed in the excursions we took.   Most didn't allow enough free time in the town.  I think I would plan my own excursions next time.

Good Vibrations! by mpcraw1125

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Marina / Destination: Transatlantic

Going on this cruise fulfilled a long time dream - to visit Cuba and spend time in Havana.  It was a dream come true.  Havana was exciting, the people very nice, it was easy to get around and the red tape was all done by the time we embarked from Miami.  The rest of the cruise was lovely, too, but Cuba was definitely the highlight.  And Oceania made it possible for us.

Of course the food on board was delicious and well prepared, the service was friendly and excellent, the entertainment was very good, our bed was perfect for a good night's sleep and the Marina is a wonderful ship. This is our 8th Oceania cruise and there will be many more.Big Smile

Excellent cruise by Cruiser12088602

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Caribbean

Just overall service and food excellent. The best we have experienced of all our cruise experiences. Everyone, from the cruise director and his staff, to the cabin steward and the servers at the restaurants, buffets, and bars could not be more efficient and cordial. The entertainment was excellent, especially the singers and dancers. We did not miss a show.

Poor excursions by coffland

The cruise and service were very good.

Only the Machupicchu excursion was great, all the others were disappointing.  The sites visited were uninteresting and the guides only okay.

Oceania Rome to Lisbon cruise by cdriscoll

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe

As always, Oceania has come through with fantastic food and superb service. The cruise started off with the crew successfully  fighting a norovirus from the previous trip. Monte Carlo, Montserrat, Barcelona, Gibraltar are all phenomenol places to visit and we had plenty of time to enjoy all of them. We stayed an extra night at the Avinedra Palace Hotel in Lisbon and what a treat that was. Highly recommend this cruise to all who like the finer things in life.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR REPEAT CRUISERS ON OCEANIA by rwestbrook3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

THE MARINA IS A BEAUTIFUL FANCY SHIP BUT THEY HAVE  MAJOR PROBLEMS.  THE CREW ALLOWED A LOCAL CITIZEN ON BOARD IN  CROATIA, WITH NO HEALTH SCREENING DONE, AND SHE WAS INFECTED WITH RHINO VIRUS.  SHE PASSED OUT WHILE ON BOARD PROMPTING A " MIKE 13 EMERGENCY CALL"   SHE  CONTAMINATED THE ENTIRE SHIP PASSENGERS AND CREW.  WE HAD SO MANY SICK PEOPLE THAT THE CENTER FOR DISEASE CONTROL IN ATLANTA WAS NOTIFIED AND THE SHIP WAS PUT IN QUARINTINE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE CRUISE.  SHIP SERVICES SHUT DOWN, EVERYONE GLOVED AND SHEETS OF PLASTIC COVERING ALL FOOD SERVICES, WHAT A GREAT LUXURY EXPERIENCE & NO EXPLANATION FROM THE CREW.

has Oceania sold out by t61354

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ship remains elegant and easy to navigate.  The food plentiful and varied, but all chicken dishes were overcooked and dry- avoid.  Our cruise had an outbreak of intestinal virus that the staff worked hard to contain and the wait staff was excellent.  Although air is included, transfers from the airport to ship are not!  They had always been in the past, contrary to what management told us onboard [this was our fifth oceania cruise].

Perfect Pathways & Piazzas by zacba

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Great ship, superior restaurants, fabulous ports of call and amazing staff. Wireless usage was a challenge and did not always work.  Flight schedules did not leave enough room for delays. Although flights may be on time, deplaning, reaching  connecting flights in different terminals and getting through customs that are minimally staffed creates tremendous stress when time in between flights is too close. 30-45 minutes is not sufficient. Finally, travel representative Trisha Kirkbride was exceptional, always answered calls and questions promptly and thoroughly. Would definitely book future cruises through Trisha.

Great value with Oceania... Great service and food by RShenoy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Very friendly and courteous staff everywhere.

No nickeling and dining for every little stuff onboard, which is really great. We booked Concierge Veranda and only stuff one had to pay was for wine and liquor, if one wanted. 3 shore excursions were included so long as they each cost $199 or less. We bought private small van tours and transfers through Viator for better value and more intimate experience. Internet, though spotty, was free. Ship had laundry facilities on many specks and we were offered free detergent . Washer and dryer each cost $2 only. Great restaurants and the grand dining were excellent, even though Jacques was a little less than hyped. Service everywhere was outstanding.

Mother and Son European Adventure by patticalhoun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Marina / Destination: Europe

Our cruise was a well orchestrated adventure.  From the beginning of reserving the  trip, Richie Mize, our travel agent, attended to every detail with our enjoyment in mind.  Neither my son nor I have ever been to Europe and this cruise allowed us to maximize our travel seeing 4 countries and spend quality time together by not requiring packing and unpacking each night of our adventure.  We were fortunate to upgrade to a suite on the Marina which allowed plenty of room for a mother and adult son to spend quality time together in our accommodations and still have the necessary privacy.  Thank you, Richie for your great planning!Love
