Q: We live in Tampa, Florida. I just booked a cruise for October on the Margaritaville Islander for my dad. It is his first time cruising. Does he need a passport for this cruise? Thank you!

A: If leaving from Tampa you do not need a passport to go to Cozumel. I have done it many times as a matter of fact just did it on this ship 3 weeks ago.

A: The way I understand the law, if you're leaving from a US port and returning to a US port, you don't need one. Approved photo ID or birth certificate is enough. I would call Margaritaville and verify.

A: You don't need a passport, but I highly suggest getting one. Just on case life decides to pull a fast one on you lol

A: I belive you can take the Brightline train from Miami and Orlando airport to get close enough for a rideshare. If your at the west palm besch airport maybe just rideshare from there.
